Steps I took to create this look:

  1. Cleaned the finished surfaces with degreaser
  2. Scuff sanded the entire piece with 180 grit sandpaper and my SurfPrep sander
  3. Primed the laminate top and previously painted surface with a bonding primer
  4. Mixed up milk paint by Shackteau Interiors in the color Mint Julep (in a 1 to 1 ratio of milk paint powder to water)
  5. Added Extra Bond to the paint to prevent the milk paint from chipping ( in a 2 to 1 ratio of paint to extra bond)
  6. Sealed with General Finishes High Performance Top Coat and my favorite top coating brush
  7. Lined drawers with peel-and-stick wallpaper
  8. Stripped the paint from the existing hardware and shined it up with Brasso
