Sharing is caring!

Photo collage of 4 pieces of furniture in various light and dark green paint colors.

With spring right around the corner, I can’t help but get in the mood for green! These painted green furniture makeovers are some of my favorites over the years. Green adds a fun pop of color to any space, while still feeling calm and natural. If you are looking for some color ideas for your next furniture project, I hope these makeovers will provide you with some inspiration!

1. Sage green tallboy dresser

This soft sage green, Thistle Green by Melange Paints, is the perfect spring color! It will immediately freshen up any space. More details on this makeover can be found here.

2. Campaign style desk

This style of furniture looks great in any color, and I absolutely love it in this olive color, Talley Green by Melange Paints. It pairs so well with the original brass hardware (some of which had been previously painted over). More details on this repainted desk can be found here.

3. Dark green hepplewhite tallboy

I just love a vintage Hepplewhite-style dresser! Always one of my favorite types of furniture to paint and I think this dark green paint gives this such a classy feel. This limited edition color, Hannah’s green by Melange Paints is unfortunately no longer available. However, the color Maribel Caves would give a similar vibe.

4. Aloe green maple dresser

This dates vintage maple dresser got a few great updates – a modern base, new hardware and a great new green color. Painted in Aloe Green by Melange Paints, the full details on how I cut and modernized the base can be found here.

5. Blue Green Cedar Chest

This cedar chest was a mess when I got it. No legs, and lots of water and veneer damage. Honestly, if the inside hadn’t been in good shape I probably would have tossed the whole thing. But it was, so I got to work! Painted in Artemesia Green by Melange Paints, a beautiful blue-green that can look more blue or green depending on the light a time of day. Regardless, it’s a calming, spa-like color that does not disappoint.

6. Hepplewhite chest

For a darker look, consider Eventide Green by Melange Paints. This beautiful shade will elevate any space and goes great with many hardware finishes – black, satin nickel, brass, and more! Full makeover details can be found here.

7. Light green dresser with mirror

The details on this vintage dresser were totally lost in the dark stain, but a fresh pop of green highlights them beautifully. Painted in Willow Green by Melange Paints, sadly a discontinued color.

8. Vintage maple dresser with appliqués

While almost white, this color, Anemone Pearl, by Melange Paints, has just a hint of green to it. In certain lighting, you can really see the green undertones shine through. If you’re looking for the lightest of greens, this is it! A perfect choice for this spring-inspired dresser makeover.

9. Antique washstand

Last but certainly not least, this antique washstand. It was previously refinished, but the finish was failing and it was ready for an update. The top was stripped and restained, and the bottom painted in Aloe Green by Melange Paints and lightly distressed. Simplfying the hardware (goodbye starfish knobs) completed this makeover!

Summary

While there are so many great shades of green out there, these are some of my favorite painted green furniture makeovers! I hope you find them inspiring! I’d love to hear what your favorite green paint is, I’m always looking for new colors too. Happy painting friends.
